MISSION STATEMENT

Robinson Ballet is a highly respected dance company that enhances our community by reaching out to educate, inspire and involve people of all ages by providing opportunities to create and experience quality dance.

We create, encourage, and provide performance training and opportunity to people interested in performance dance.

We increase awareness, enjoyment, appreciation and participation of dance.

We offer strong educational programs which are accessible to communities throughout Maine.

We provide a positive performing experience.

Robinson Ballet is reaching more people than ever before. The quality of our work has risen to new levels, and we continue to challenge ourselves. We look forward to building on this momentum and hope that each year more and more members of the community will join us in our commitment to become a part of our vision.

School performances, lecture demonstrations and master classes have always been an internal part of Robinson Ballet's commitment to increasing dance awareness. Since 1985 the Company has reached thousands of children with its educational programs. This growing in-school presence touches children who might not otherwise have the opportunity to experience dance. These programs help build future audiences and encourage an appreciation of dance as an art form.

Robinson Ballet dancers and teachers travel to schools and instruct students in fundamental dance technique and perform short pieces highlighting different styles of dance.

Invite your friends to pool their resources to make dance a part of your children's curriculum; or call us to talk about your ideas. Robinson Ballet is always seeking more and different opportunities to educate and serve the public through dance.
